298 (Hornsea) Air Cadets ‘Endeavour To Succeed’
Our Cadets take part in many exciting activities two nights a week and most weekends! From flying and gliding to camping, shooting, DofE & First Aid! We are open to all young people from 12 years old (and in Year 8 at school) up to their 17th birthday, and provide the sort of opportunities that only come once in a lifetime!

The Squadron’s mission is to provide exciting and challenging opportunities.
What We Do
We get to do a huge variety of activities such as flying, gliding, shooting, adventure training, DofE award, sports, swimming, camps, overseas camps, drill, academic studies to name a few!
Who Can Join
You can join when you’re 12 and in Year 8 at school. You can remain a cadet until you’re 18. You must join before your 17th birthday. Cadets can stay until their 20th birthday if they show an interest and are recommended for staff cadet service by the Squadron OC.
When Do We Meet
We meet twice a week, Monday’s and Wednesday’s, 7pm until 9.30pm, but you’ll usually find activities running on weekends as well which you can take part in. We parade throughout the school holidays with the exception of Bank holidays and a few weeks at Christmas.
