Update us about changed unit details

With over 900 active squadrons each with periodic changes of staff, parade nights, times or other details, units being formed, closed and occasionally renamed, there are continuous revisions to the data in the Squadron Finder.

We aim to keep this information as up-to-date and accurate as possible and welcome advice of changes and the need for updates. Please therefore help us keep the Squadron Finder information current and accurate by advising us if you believe some details are out-of-date.

This form is only for submitting information updates to the Squadron Finder service itself. If you are interested in joining or have some other query relating to a specific squadron, please use the 'Send message to...' link found on the 'Squadron details' page for the squadron you wish to contact. This will send a message direct to the squadron rather than the Finder information update service.

In summary: We only collect the personal information your provide on the form.

The only personal information we collect is your name and Email address that you voluntarily enter here, plus the IP address from which you are accessing which is a regular function of all web servers. We collect and process this information for the sole purpose of processing the information update you are sending us.

We do not share or pass your data to any party. We do no sell, share or otherwise distribute your information in any way whatsoever.

In summary: Our basis of processing your data is to enable us to action your information update and send confirmation to you.

Data is processed for the sole purpose of fulfilling the information update you are kindly providing us. Logs of use of the service are maintained for operational reasons and to track and rectify any errors, should there be any that might impact the actioning of your update.

In the terms of the UK GDPR, our legal basis for processing your data is:

Like Air Cadets squadrons themselves, this service is volunteer operated and not operated by the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD), The Royal Air Force (RAF) or The Air Cadets Organisation (ACO).

The service is built, maintained and operated exclusively within the UK. No data is transmitted outside the UK.

Data security

In summary: We follow good 'cyber hygiene' to ensure the security of your data.

Your data is transmitted to this service over an encrypted connection. The service is hosted on our secure server. The TLS (SSL) configuration of this service receives an A+ rating from the well-respected 'SSLLabs website assessment service'. We employ cyber security measures including configuration of the service and the way the service is built and tested to ensure all information held by the service is secure.

Privacy

In summary: You are directly sending your update to us and so will will read the content of your update.

Your information update is being sent to The Squadron Finder service itself and so will be read so that it can be actioned and out-of-date information updated.

Cookies and tracking

In summary: The service does not use cookies nor employ any form of user tracking.

This site does not set cookies, does not track user behaviour nor use any analytics tool, e.g. Google Analytics, which might set cookies and/or track your behaviour.
